IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal is a non-invasive treatment that uses pulses of light energy to target hair follicles at the root, reducing hair growth over time. The IPL device emits controlled flashes of light that are absorbed by the pigment in your hair. This light converts to heat, which safely damages the follicle, slowing or stopping future hair growth. Over a series of sessions, the treated area becomes progressively smoother with finer, slower regrowth.

Most clients describe the sensation as a quick snap or mild flick—similar to the feeling of a rubber band against the skin. It’s typically well-tolerated, and a cooling gel is applied beforehand to improve comfort.

IPL is generally very safe when performed by trained professionals. Some clients may experience mild redness, warmth, or sensitivity for a few hours after treatment—similar to light sun exposure. Rare side effects include blistering or pigmentation changes, which is why a thorough consultation and skin test are essential beforehand.

Most clients need 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. Maintenance sessions may be recommended once or twice a year to keep the area smooth and hair-free.

Avoid tanning, waxing, or plucking the area for at least two weeks prior. After your session, keep the area clean and avoid excessive heat or sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Full aftercare instructions will be provided.
