Look Good. Feel Better & Be The Best Version Of Yourself
What is Hats Off?

Hats Off is our hair loss awareness campaign for the men and women of Gloucestershire designed to raise awareness of the devastating impact hair loss can have on men and women of all ages.
The cap is our symbol - because so many people quietly hide under one. Taking it off means dropping the shame, talking openly, and realising you were never alone in the first place.
Whether you're losing your hair, you know someone who is, or you simply want to help spread the word, this is for you.
Let's take our Hats off to hair loss.
The Impact of Hair Loss
It's rarely "just hair." Here's what the numbers and the people behind them actually tell us.

Hair loss can quietly chip away at confidence, relationships, work, and how you feel walking into a room.
-
For women it's often triggered by the menopause, childbirth, stress, or conditions such as alopecia. Women often suffer the most silently of all, because hair is so tied up with identity.

What #hatsoffglos is About
Raising awareness of the impact of hair loss because no one should suffer in silence.
Let's get people talking
Lift the lid. Ditch the shame. Let's talk about hair loss the way we'd talk about anything else openly, honestly, without the awkward jokes. The moment you say it out loud, it stops being a secret that controls you and defines who you are.
Help you identify the best options available
We're here to talk. Ask us anything about hair loss and you'll get honest, expert answers, free of charge and free of pressure. What you do next is entirely up to you.
Because hair loss doesn't define you. Whatever the best options are available to you, you decide, our job is to help you feel like yourself again - reassured, informed, and confident in your own skin. No pressure, no judgement, just people who genuinely get it.
Give confidence back

How to support someone struggling with hair loss
You don't need to be an expert, and you don't need the perfect words. You just need to show up.
Ditch the banter
The bald jokes land harder than you think. Give them a rest.
Ask how they're really doing.
If they say "fine," ask again. People say they're fine when they're anything but
Point them somewhere useful
Share this campaign, or , if it's weighing heavy, a place they can get additional support (below)
Listen
More than you talk. You don't have to fix it. Being there is enough
Keep it normal
Don't turn it into a pity party - treat them exactly the way you always have.
Avoid toxic positivity
Refrain from saying "it will just grow back" or making comparisons, as every emotional journey is unique.
IF IT'S MORE THAN HAIR
Hair loss can affect far more than your appearance. If you or someone you know is struggling, you're not alone.
